Auto-insert string of words into cells in row

Have almost no excel knowledge but I have lots of strings of names in this format:
"ali bob ann tom dot eva guy ian jak jim joe kay ron kim roy tim"

Need to insert each line into a row in an excel table but each name needs to be in its own cell
e.g. (A1) ali (A2) bob (A3) ann .......

Is there an easy way to do this other than copying and pasting each name into a cell manually.
