Sumif Certain Criteria

Hi All,

Hope someone can help me with my question.

I have attached an example which I will refer to.

What I am trying to achieve is a formula that lets me find the monthly total for each month based on certain criteria.

I can only add up the total for a month if I have a complete set of data for the row within the range set at B19:C19. (I want to compare like with like)

The rows coloured in blue match the criteria but the red colour rows don’t due to blanks in the range (dark red).

I therefore only want to add the cells in blue for each month (B21:O21).

My attached example has the correct answers in B21:O21.

I need this to be as flexible as possible. So if I change the cell B19 to Dec/12 it would therefore ignore row 3 (no data in D3) and same for A19.

I am just trying to compare like with like.

I hope this all makes sense. So sorry if not! I can try answering all questions.

Perhaps if you used an helper column as in the attached example, does this return the correct values? See the green cells for formulas.
