Hello. Why does this give me a cell reference error? The budget file exists and is open.
=VLOOKUP(A2,'[Copy of 2016 BUDGET FILE v.5 _12-1-15.xlsx]BUDGET MASTER 2016'!$B$44:$B$211,17,FALSE)
$B$44:$B$211,17
your range is B:B
yet you are asking for column 17
so you would need to make sure the column is included in the range
17 is column R
so change the range to
......!$B$44:$R$211
