I currently have an excel spreadsheet that has five columns of different values (numbers or letters), new entries are added every day. For example my first column is the date, second column I have managed to make a drop down box with 8 options, third column is a second drop down box with several options depending on the first drop down box. Fourth column is a numerical value and the last column is just a notes column.
I want to (on a new sheet) be able to type in two or three specific phrases that will pull all the data regarding those phrases from my original set of data. For example, I want to be able to type in the month and a phrase from my first drop down box and receive all the entries matching these phrases.
Are there some macros I could learn to use or specific formulas?
