Help with a template I have downloaded?

Hope you can help me with this. I have downloaded a Gantt chart template from a website and after careful review of numerous ones I decided upon the one I currently use. The template works great and I can populate it etc but theres a couple of places I have tried to customize it. For example One of the things I am try ing to do is change the color of the cell outline to show Actual time. The problem is when I scroll the page using the templates scroll bar (created by the developer of the sheet) it make s the box move so not inline with the dates. Does anyone know how I might fix this? I am happy to delete the custom scroll function if this fixes it but I am not sure how to do this or whether it will delete the data or not make the changes I hope it does. I have attached a copy of the template in hope someone will know how to ensure I can keep the cell colour where I put it (its in red) and get rid of the custom scroll if necessary.

You shouldn't add the colours in manually, rather change the dates in columns F and G and watch the magic happen.
