Conditional formatting formula required or hierarchy help

I have 30 rows by 6 columns, all the cells contain nos. ranging from 6 - 13. I have conditional formatting as follows
    6-8 Red fill
    9-11 Orange fill
    12-3 Green fill

I need to add in to the conditional formatting that if cell B1 is less than A1 it highlights the cell to a different colour and some wording appears asking the person to enter a number in b1 that it the same or higher than the one in A1. I need this to override the red/orange/green formatting for the numbers.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello
Conditional Formatting cannot return a message only format the cell(s). You would have to apply Data Validation for an Input Message to appear with a Custom formula such as:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

In the attached input a number in the range A1:F30 (cells with border) and see if this is something you can work with.

This is done with a VBA code.
Right click on the Sheet1 Tab --> View code, and you will find a Change Event Code on Sheet1 Module and that does what you were trying to achieve.

If that takes care of your original question, please mark your thread as Solved by selecting Thread Tools (just above your first post) --> Mark thread as solved.
