I am having problems with the colour (F&L) columns on the attached spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is a line planning document and pulls together the multiple colour and material combinations that go into making a pair of shoes.
There are 4 tabs containing each data table which role up into the LINE MASTER tab. Which table the data is pulled from is defined by columns D & J. The Material columns (E & J) have quite a straightforward validation of the first columns in the table.
Where I am stuck is bringing in the colours. I only want the colours to be pulled in for the entry into the table. I have been able to do this but there are still blanks in the table. Can you help in helping me remove the blanks from the colour validation columns F & L.
I'm not sure if it is possible but would i be also able to amend the validation so that if i selected a correct material and colour combination, then went back and selected a different material that was not matched to the colour on the table then it would either return an error or remove the colour. I'm sure there's a macro solution to this but my preference would be if this could be solved by the data validation.
