Selecting from a list between different values

My problem is as follows. I have two columns, call them A and B having numbers in them. Let's take 6 values:
A B
1 20
2 20
3 30
4 30
5 50
6 50

Now I have another two cells, call them D1 and D2 which hold two numbers.
D1 = 2
D2 = 5

I need a formula which will count me the number of times number 30 from column B occurs in the range of D1 to D2 in column A. This means my formula needs to spit out 2 in this case. I've tried to use vlookup, and ifcount, however, I have only managed to get the number of occurences in column A between the interval D1 and D2, in this case 4, including D1, and D2.

How can I do this?
