Working with times and if then font color change ...

What I am trying to do is to do a time calculation, then the result if <1 display in black; if not then display in red.

I want to establish a time value in B8 ... compare (add or subtract) that value to the time value in B21 ...

In an airline report for flight delays is the object.

I am using B8 as the schedule time of departure and B21 as actual time of departure. The formula (or result) being in cell B22.
A positive number in B22 would be the delay minutes; a zero or negative result in B22 would be an on-time or early departure.
I would like any delay minutes to display in RED type.

How can I do this, and can this be accomplished and still be able to operate on typical smartphone.

    Thanks,

    Ken

you can use a conditional format
    formula
    select the range to colour
    and then use a formula

    =B8>0
    format red

If you don't yet have a formula for B22, you can use this.

    Use a conditional format of
    Formula: copy to clipboard

to make it red to represent a delay.

OK. I think I have it.

    See attached spreadsheet.
The formula only works appropriately within a 12 hour range. It won't work for you if the real time difference between STD and BLOCKOUT/PUSHTIME is greater than 12 hours.

The conditional formatting is set to show RED on delay.
