cannot delete object or access text in box using MS Excel 2010.

    cannot delete object or access text in box using MS Excel 2010.

    this file may be from an earlier version. When I right click, no options appear. I can create and edit a new note. But no way to access the existing note, when I roll my cursor over the cell. How do I access box to change text or delete this object/box?
