auto update weekly table basis status update

Hi,

i need some help regarding the following situation I am in.

I have a set of tables (columns)week1, week2, week3....
Each table has a set of data(name) within in.
Every week someone will complete the task allotted to that week. In case the task is not completed it will move automatically to the next week.
the user will update a column that shows the status of task. basis the status the file name should be shown in the next weeks table.

for eg.

week 1
task status
abc1 done
abc2 pending
abc3 done
abc4 pending



week2
task status
def1 pending
def2 pending
def3 pending
def4 pending
abc2 pending
abc4 pending

as shown..the task name from week1 will move to week2 basis the status update.

i have to do this for huge set of data..not practical to use sort everytime.

Is there any where i can get this done?
