Comparing data in two columns with duplicates

    Hi All,

I have a problem. I'm looking to create some type of method to compare two columns of data. The problem is that there is nothing to make the data unique and there are several duplicates in the data I am trying to compare, so vlookup isn't really suitable.

I have attached an example with two columns of data. What I have come up with so far is to use an array formula to pull the unique values from one of the columns, then use count on each column to compare it this way. However, this is not ideal as I can easily miss data from the second column. I have highlighted a cell to red to stress this point.

Can you please advise if you know of any more efficient way of setting this up, keeping in mind that I will be working with hundreds of cells and the attached is only a sample.

    Many Thanks,

    S

Re: Comparing data in two columns with duplicates

Sorry, I'm new to this, I'm having some trouble with attaching files.

I understand the paperclip icon is not working, so I have gone down below to the 'Manage attachments' section and attached it there.

Not sure how to get it from there to my post.

    Can someone please advise?

    Thanks,

    S
