I have 2 columns of data. Col A represents a Part#, Col B represents the quantity of that part number. I'm looking for a way to be able to scan (using a handheld scanner hooked to the PC) the actual part number and enter my quantity and excel check or highlight the corresponding part number in the sheet and tell me if the quantity i entered matches the quantity in the sheet for that specific part number. I also want Excel to keep that formatting to show that i have already audited that specific part number. I think Green should be the color of the matching Part number as well as the quantity IF the quantity entered matches. If it doesn't then it should be Red. Is this possible to accomplish in Excel?
