    Multiple results Index Match

    Hi Guys,

I am currently on a problem that I can't figure out how to do.
    The situation is as follows:
I have one column of processes (alphanumeric codes), with a lot of duplicates.
Then there is a separate sheet with the what the processen contain in terms of Qualifications. The proces are listed in column A and the qualification in column B. If a process includes multiple qualifications the proces in listed again on the next row with the different qualification in column B.
What I need is a formula/action that can look up what qualifications are included per proces (including all duplicates processes) and add all the qualifications in a list, so they can be counted afterwards.
I tried the Index Match combination but that only includes the first qualification of the processes that have multiple qualifications.

Hope you guys have any idea how to tackle this?

    Thanks!

My explanation might not have been the clearest ever. So I made a quick small version of the situation.

Sadly only the scale is a bit bigger column A is roughly 100k entries... and column D 10k

Hi and welcome. Not sure I'm following exactly what you want as an output but this might get you started.

Sort columns D and E by column D values so they are ascending values then put this formula in F2 and drag down

    =IF(D2=D1,CONCATENATE(F1&", "&E2),E2)

This will join your qualifications so the last process number will have a full list of qualifications required for that process. Not sure where you want to go from there though.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Have you tried a Pivot Table?

    Re: Multiple results Index Match

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the help, gave me a few idea's to try out.

I will try and explain the goal of the spreadsheet a bit better.

We have numerous different processes each containing multiple steps (steps are listed as qualifications).
The total spreadsheet is a list of the processes completed the last 2 years, and which steps are included in each process (formatted as the example above).
I need to know how many times every step has been completed.

    Thanks again for the help

    Lars
