Why aren't the calculations in this spreadsheet instant?

I made a pretty simple spreadsheet to keep track of basic statistics for a card game I play. At first, I was just keeping track of most of it manually, but then I later added formulas for each character, to keep track of how many games they had been in, and how many they won. All of a sudden, it started hanging for like five seconds every time the automatic calculation happened. I tried just turning off automatic calculation for a while, but I'd really just like to know why it would be doing that. I've had plenty of other spreadsheets with a bunch of formulas and calculations, so I know it's not just the program or my computer; it's only happening in this particular spreadsheet.

Let me say just to be clear that a delay of a few seconds every time I enter a cell is not the end of the world; it's not like this is something I can't live with, I'm just really curious about why this is acting so different from every other spreadsheet I've ever used.

    tb813:
All your SIMIF's on sheet1 col D look like they could be a drain on resources. Instead of evaluating the entire columns on sheet2, (A:A), pick a likely range, lets say you might use A$1:A$500 instead. Same for all columns evaluated. . .A, D, F, I, K etc... Hope this helps.
