Hello all,
My name is Dennis!
First. I donīt know if this has been asked before. I donīt really know what to search for. So I apologize if it has. I am having trouble with the following exercise below. (See attached .jpg)
-----
I start with $100 of funds and I am speculating in stocks. At the second date I have a profit of $2 and my total dollar amount has risen to $102. This continues with ups and downs for a while. (See attached)
Then I decide to add some more funds at a given date. The added funds is $10 and at the same day I have a profit of $2. (Pink row in the Excel sheet)
To my question. I only want to see the percentage of the profits and losses, not the percentage of all my funds. When I add the $10 my percentage goes up and distorts the profit and losses percentage. I only want the $2 profit to be calculated and not the extra $10. (they should only be visible in total funds.
I hope I explained this correct Is there a way?
Take care,
Dennis
