    Discounted Cash Flow Analysis

I am looking to see if anyone has ever tired to calculate a DCF for a bond or financial instrument in only one cell..

I understand what a DCF is and how to do it, but I am not sure if there is a way to do it in a single cell. Basically I have a number of financial instruments with various variables such as coupon payments, interest rates, maturity dates, coupon dates. Instead of creating a new sheet for each instrument and making a amortization schedule and discount cash flow schedule, I am looking to do it all in a single cell. This way I can have one sheet with my 200 odd instruments instead of having 200 sheets.

If anyone knows if this can be done with inputting columns and formulas or some sort of code, please let me knwo. My end goal is that in which I can simply populate a single sheet with my instruments and variables and will get an end amortization figure. However, to do this, I need to calculate the DCF of each instruments coupon payments.

    Thanks guys

I haven't got a clue about what a DCF is or how it is calculated, but from your description you seem to want to replace helper columns with a single cell. This sounds like a job for an array formula. Without seeing a sample workbook and at least a basic education on what a DCF is, I can't take it any further.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
