    ComboBox on Multiple Cells

    Hi everyone! Please let me know if my question makes sense or not. I created a combo box to make searching a data validation list easier. However, I was only able to do it in one cell and need that same combo box for about 600 more cells so that any new entry they can continue to search. Is there a way to duplicate the combo box so that I am not going through 600 cells recreating a combo box? I tried a copy/paste function that I read about on google but with no luck. Any help would be appreciated thanks! I've tried to attach a picture (excuse my crude drawing) of what I need without attaching the actual file because it has confidential information. Capture.PNG

    If you are creating 600 combo boxes you are doing it wrong.

    I'm not creating 600 combo boxes. That probably got misinterpreted. I have a supplier name from a data validation list that generates a supplier group name. I created one combo box (for now) to make the data validation list searchable but what happens when I move on to the next supplier? How does it know to change the linked cell to the next cell on the list?

    Why are you using a combo box exactly? What are you doing with it? it would probably make sense to post a sample workbook.

    Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Thank you. I wasn't able to make a dummy sheet because of some formulas that weren't working but I got it now. Attached is what I am talking about. Cells B3-B5 are just a regular data validation list. However, with some many names that is hard to search. So in cell B2 I created a combo box so the supplier name would be searchable as well as populate the supplier group name using a formula. The desired result is how do I take what i have in B2 and apply that same method to all the blank cells so that if I enter something into B12 the combo box knows to put the corresponding supplier group name in cell a12 and so on? Does any of this make sense?

    So the attachment in the workbook seems to work fine for me but I have NO idea what you are trying to do so I cannot help much.

    I would suggest attaching a workbook and then asking for specific advice.

    My apologies. I'll try to make this more clear. I found this website (http://forum.chandoo.org/threads/com...-update.17575/) and am trying to do the same thing but apply it to my workbook. I have attached a workbook to show how they did it but I cannot figure out how to use a combo box. If you click a cell in the workbook, say D6 then choose from the combo box dropdown the cell D6 changes to what you have chosen. This works with any cell. How can I use a combo box so that when I select a blank cell then select from a combo box list my blank cell changes to what I have selected? Hope this makes more sense.
