Auto Cell Highlighting

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can get Excel to instantly highlight all the cells with the same data as the active cell. I want to be able to populate cells with job numbers for specific machines, and when I click one cell with that job number I want all the cells on the page with the same number to highlight and then turn neutral again when I move on.

I don't know how to do that, but perhaps you could create a cell, call it A1, and set conditional formatting on the rest of the sheet to highlight when they match cell A1. You could then enter the job number in cell A1, see what is highlighted, populate your cells, then change or delete the information in A1 and everything goes back to normal.
