Dearest Excelites,
I'm a novice when it comes to Microsoft excel, and I'm learning a lot from experimentation; however, I've come to the desperate point in my endeavor to seek help from this generous community in helping me build my debate workbook.
I've succeeded in some areas of formulation, however rough, and looking for help in determining team distribution. My ultimate outcomes would be the following:
Student Dashboard (TAB): Worksheet containing student names and grade book to an average based on their performance in debates. Later, I will have some sort of graphing option to display their performance.
Formula (TAB): This section will include the formulas required as the engine of random generation. The intent of this is to have cleaner TABS throughout the workbook. I would later have this TAB protected from alteration by any teachers that might change and ruin the entire workbook.
Team Random (TAB): This TAB will generate random names to a specific number of teams (4-5) based on the number of students I have specified in the Student Dashboard TAB. My desire then would be to create some sort of control (macro maybe) to copy/paste the Team Random TAB to the Team Random-Fixed TAB with only the variables.
Team Random-fixed Generator (TAB): This is the tricky part. Based off the saved variables from the Team Random-Fixed TAB, I wish to create a randomized function that randomizes 2 of the 4-5 teams (without duplication) for debate and randomize the names of those teams into certain 'role' cells
