Hi there
Trying to do the most simple of things but failing (new to excel but I can't believe it's so difficult)
I've been given a spreadsheet with XML data connections to import data. There's obviously a named range associated with this data set. I just want replace this data source with a database connection that I've created - which has the same columns in the same order as the XML one - whilst maintaining the named range.
There's loads of references to this named range so I don't want to delete the named reference and recreate it because Excel invalidates everything and it doesn't reinstate the references on re-creation.
It sounds simple but ive tried everything and nothing works. It would be intuitive to select the columns for this xml data source, go to connection properties and replace the data source. But that would be too simple right?
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Jon
