Group values of each person - Time avaiable vs Time assigned the task

    Hello,

I have a task that is to group the time for each person of a company by year and by month.

I have data for each person that comes from database, but i dont know how to group, if i can do this by function or building a pivot table or i need to build a macro, could someone help me,

I send in attach an example of my data and what i want to do.

In sheet1 i have the data of 2 employees of avaiable time, for example:

    - the employee nº4 in date 04/01/2016 worked 8 normal hours and 1:35 extra hours and the employee nº 13 made 8 normal hours

this sheet in build by the Time attendance clock, the employee pass his card in the beggning of day and when goes to lunch, after the lunch passes again and the end of day passes again and so on

I have this information for all months of year

In sheet2 i have the tasks that employee was assigned for each day, in each month, with the duration of each task

In sheet3 and want to analise time avaiable for each month by employee vs time assigned for task by employee, i think that in this way i can see, the employee has been in company 8 hours and to see the duration of taks that he has been doing

But i dont know how to do this analises...if i have some function to group the information by month, employee or the best way is to do a pivotable or i have to build a macro

Can anyone help me a little

    thanks in advance

    best regards

    Hi,

If I understand correctly, then you can us SUMIF in sheet3 to return the data you want.

I merged the threads because there was a response in the other one posted in the Outlook subforum.
