    Protection formula cell

    Hello here friends,

    I need your support. I have Excel file with formulas. I want to protect each cells where formula is inserted from changes or to prevent other to delete it. Protect sheet is useless.

    Is any formulas or some tricks? please help me.

    because it protects all cells where is not formulas too. i need that cells to be unprotected.

    You have to set cells that need to be editable as unlocked on the protection tab (cell format dialog).

    Yes. You can SHIFT select blocks of them, then right-click - format - protection - uncheck (untick) the box that says 'locked'. Then, when you protect the sheet, these cells will still be editable.

    The default setting for all cells is 'locked'.

    Thanks. I did as u told me and it is as i wanted. Now i know how to do that. Thanks for your support. Appreciate it. I understand now about cross-posting. As i was advised i edited to my posted with a LINK.
