Excel Help - VLook up/ Index/ Small Formula help - Reporting sheet help

Hi All

I was wondering whether you could help me with a spreadsheet I've created.

I've tried to create a report sheet from a main spreadsheet that I've created to show the number of things I've purchased, how many I've purchased and what the cost is for different areas i.e Glassware, Silverware and Crockery
I've tried to use a mix of index formulas, small formulas and V Look ups but if there is the same amount of things bought i.e. 48, the formula doesn't work and it just repeats the same things over and over. I've been working on it for a whiel and I can't figure out where I went wrong!

Would someone be able to help me where I went wrong?

I have revised your Report Sheet formulae to give what I think you are after. I have only done the first 2 items leaving the rest for you to edit. There are too many formulae to post.

Thank you so much! It doesn't quite work for me though.

The first line of Glassware is pulling through as Glass No3 when there was nothing purchased. I've tried to copy the formulas over and it doesnt seem to work for me.

I just basically want it to pull through the item that was purchased in teh different categories adn how many were purchased.

Did you enter the formula with Ctrl + Shift + Enter? If you don't, you will get Glass 3. Properly entered, you should get Glass 5 followed by Glass 8.

All the formulae that I entered on the worksheet are ARRAY formulae to be entered with Ctrl + Shift + Enter.
