Hi,
Pls find the attachment. in the attachment, i prepare the summary by using pivot. But i want to prepare that summary by using formulas. pls help.
Note: Sample data contains 6 months. but in future , my report contains 12 months and 'n' no. of different cities.

What is wrong with using a pivot table?
This clearly works and is VERY efficient compared to a much more complex formula or group of forumlas.

Yes you can use formulas for creating report instead of Pivot, in this case you have to fix number of rows and columns of your report as Pivot shrink and expand automatically but report using formula does not.
You can use sumif, sumifs to get the desired result
Dear Ajaypal, Plz find attach file. Kindly look summaryavk sheet.
I give you one suggestion in month column you mentioning only jan, feb, mar etc. instead of that,
if you maintain with date (format as date) that is more convenient.

Why bother?
This is much more complicated than a VERY simple Pivot Table which is already proven to work.
