conditional cell formatting via date

good afternoon All,

i have a question that im hoping someone can answer. i want to be able to change the colour of a cell based on lapsed time for example, cell A1 has a date of 01.01.2017. i want that cell to change colour after 7 day from that date. is the possible ??

Hi,

Yes, this is possible.

Your conditioning formula would look something like:

=if(cell with date >= today()-7,1,0)

Though without all the extra spaces.

got another for you, can you remove the conditional formatted cell based on another cell, for example if a1 has the conditional formatting based on time and changes colour, if b1 has the word "complete" it removes the colour from a1

Yes, set a CF on cell A1 something like:

In the CF Rules Manager the "complete" CF has to be first with the "Stop if True" box checked.
