How to pull data using different criteria or based on selection from drop down list?

    hi everyone,

I am trying to pull data from one sheet to another using multiple criteria. On one sheet, there are different months with different locations & salespeople. I want to extract all the data for that specific salesperson when a user picks the respective month & location. Any way to do this? I was told vlookup could be a great tool to achieve this? anyone else agrees with that being it the most efficient? Thanks for all the help in advance.

    Thanks,

I don't see the location anywhere, but to look up by month and saleperson try something like this. Also, avoid merged cells like the plague. Merged cells only belong on your report, never on the data sheet.

Thanks k64 for pointing me to the right direction, but by applying your formula, i noticed that most of the peoples information doesnt pull through & i cant figure out why. maybe if you can take a look at it, that would be really helpful! & would it be possible to add a "sumif" formula to the match/index formula that you created. I wanted to get totals for all the locations based on months/location. here is the updated file to work on. Thanks a lot!

it wouldnt let me share a macro file for some reason, so here is a external link to it https://www.mediafire.com/?08u96m5ja8ra3zh

    Hello gungill2017,

Unfortunately, mediafire is blocked for me. For attachments here I have to go to Advanced->Manage attachments, and upload it there. Does that method work for you? Also, you can save a file without the macro if you don't need help with the macro for this issue.
