When I try to convert a range to a table only some columns are banded, the first column and a few on the far right of the range.
Not sure if its related, but formulas do not pick up table references - I just get cell references. This is even though the table shows as created for the range in question and filters were created indicating the full range was in fact converted to a table.
Any idea what is wrong here?

I have fixed, think it was issue going from one Excel version to another
Apparently issue is not fixed. Having same problem on a new report.
Working only in Excel 2010. There are no merged cells.
Any idea what would cause this problem with table?
Well, I was able to fix by making smaller "sub-tables" and working my way across the range until have a full size normal table.
No idea what prob was.
If anyone knows issue, would be good to know as seems to be recurring prob - thanks
