Cross Sheet Referencing Issue

I'm sure there has to be some easy fix to this.
But I'm not sure why this suddenly stopped working.

I was able to select a Cell in one sheet and go to another sheet and select a Cell as reference and it worked.

And now it doesn't..

I've done some google searching but couldn't find anything to fix this issue.

PS: It DOES work if I manually type in the 'formula' of where I'd like it to reference from.
ie; " ='BUDGET Reference'!I17 "

Thank you for your speedy response!

Cheers,

If you reallr are including the "" around the formula, then that is what the problem it, remove them and it should work
='BUDGET Reference'!I17
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Obviously not doing that.
Like I said, writing the "formula" in does work.

But clicking on cell to reference from different sheet and pressing Enter does NOT.

Thanks

upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.

Re: Cross Sheet Referencing Issue

I can't do that because it's for some reason working on a new file, but still not in the original file.

But here is something interesting: I saved the file on my DESKTOP, out of the SHARED DROPBOX FOLDER.
And the function to type: = and then click on another sheet and click on a cell and press Enter (referencing a cell in another sheet) works.

So... This operation is not functional within a DropBox folder????

I think DB is only used for file storage, I hardly ever use it though
