Insert blank rows between common values

Can I enter a blank row between common values in a specific column? And, can a sum be totaled in a second column in that blank row? For example, a spreadsheet can contain any number of rows, but there may be common values in Column A. I'd like a blank row to appear between that common value. Also, if possible, can one of the other columns contain a formula to add a series of numbers? Thanks much.
