Trying to drag a formula that increments by 8 instead of 1

I'm writing a sheet (sheet1) that pulls data from another sheet (sheet2) and I can't figure out how to make a formula that I can drag down about 20 cells with the fill tool that displays every 8th cell in sheet1. Every time you drag the formula down, it only increments in one ie A1, A2, A3, etc. I need it to display A1, A9, A17, A26 and A32 from sheet1 in the cells A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5 of sheet2. Help please.

this refers to cell "sheet1!A1" and fills down plus 8 each time

indirect lets you create the cell address manually. and row(a1) gives you the row of your current cell (since it is A1 that is 1) so I multiply it by 8 (the amount we want to skip and minus 7 to bring it back to A1)
