Excel will not process formulas when using copied data. It works fine when the data is entered manually.
- I have ensured that the cells are not formatted as text.
- I have pasted special as values.
- I have ensured that calculation is set to automatic.
- I am not running any Skype ad ons.
- I have tried with all other programs closed down.
I just want to do a simple division between two cells. Is there anything else that I should look at which might be causing the problem?
Can you attach your file. its more better to understand.
For attach
>Click "Go Advanced"
>Click Manage Attachment
>Brows file from respective folder
>Click on upload
>After complete uploading file click on closed this windows.

There are no formulas in Sheet1. I find only the formula =A2/B2 in C2 of Sheet2. Initially, A2 is 1 and B2 is 2; C2 display 0.5. When I change B2 3, C2 correctly changes to about 0.33333... .Originally Posted by petrolh34d
You say the copied data is not formatted as Text. But what does =ISTEXT(A2) return?
Data can be type text, even if the cell format is not Text.
A common problem with copied data is: it might contain errant characters, notably non-breaking spaces (HTML nbsp). But in that case, your formula would usually return a #VALUE error.

i have gone through your file, can you mentioned specific in which cell formula not process.
