Excel program crash when a specific user open the worksheet

Hi,

we have this workbook that was created by a staff (resigned). This workbook has a few worksheets and one of them is a breakdown of details to support a summary sheet.

Manager A can open the workbook but he can never get into that detailed worksheet without his excel program crashing.

We tried asking a few other users to try to open the workbook and getting into each worksheets and they are all fine. It is only manager A who is unable to get into the detailed worksheet.

We also tried saving the file with the detailed worksheet open so that manager A can try to open up the file and view that worksheet directly. It will crash his excel program too. In the end, we have to copy the detailed sheet into another file and save it for him to access the data.

What can be the issue here? Bugs in the original file? but it does not happen to other users. some kind of VB script to crash manager A's program if he tries to view the details??

Hi, we are all using the same version 2010. Our company IT dept controls the installation of office program.

As for where the file is stored, manager A is the owner of the file server where it is being saved so he has absolute right in the server.

It is just a simple workbook so there is no environment variables needed to set up. We don't update the links in the file etc.
