    Ranking with multi conditions

    Hi guys,

Need your help with a ranking formula.

Im trying to rank the order of these names so that:
    • If person started within 12 month = NO, then
    • the person with the most "Closed Orders" is # 1
    • If person started within 12 month = YES then
    • the person with the most "Closed Orders" is ranked first BUT is of lower ranking than all the people is "no" for started within 12 months
    .
    Ignore "NO DATE"

This formula is the only thing i can think of, but the numbers are consecutive.

Any ideas on how i can make this consecutive?

Thanks in advance for your time

    Re: Ranking with multi conditions

    Hi,

    Would you clarify
If person started within 12 month = YES then
the person with the most "Closed Orders" is ranked first BUT is of lower ranking than all the people is "no" for started within 12 months

Does this mean that the 75 people with No are ranked first by the number of orders and then the ranking continues with the Yes people?
In which case why not just sort the table on the Yes/No column as the first key and the number of orders descending as the 2nd key then rank the sorted table.

Or are all the people treated as one whole but in this case the ranking would be a trivial sort on the closed orders column and I guess this isn't what you mean.

It would help if you could manually add the ranking result you expect.

    Hi Richard,

You are right, rank YES & NO people separately. Then move the YES people to the bottom of the list.

I actually got it to work. Thank you!

You gave me such an obvious solution, added another column and rank based my not-consecutive ranking.

    It is now consecutive.

    Thanks you!
