Indirect formula showing Ref error when the target workbook is opened using a hyperlink

I have a number of indirect formulas that read other workbooks. When these other workbooks are opened using a hyperlink the indirect formula seems to show a ref error?

When opening them normally the indirect formula works fine!?

    Very strange.. can anybody help?

    Thanks

    Chris

Try refresh both files after open by hyperlink
    or
Attach a sample workbooks (not a picture). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Your sample files have nothing to do with each other

This will be because the indirect formula I have used is no longer correct once these are opened on your pc I assume?

    Probably,
You've links hardcoded there so INDIRECT looks like #REF!

I managed to mock up another sample and it also worked fine both ways.

I can't explain why it isn't the same in the original workbooks.
