    Autofilter disappearing

    Hello All

I have a spreadsheet which is being shared by multiple users. The sheet is protected and I have allowed autofilter to be used. I have dedicated a row which contains the autofilter arrows for each column. This seems to work fine most of the time.

The problem is that the autofilter arrows seem to disappear now and again forcing me to set the autofilter back up. As the sheet is protected no one should be able to turn the autofilter on or off.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can prevent it.

    Many thanks

    Rich

    Re: Autofilter disappearing

Is it possible to cause this if the spreadsheet is opened in an older version of excel? Some older versions have much less flexibility where protection is used.
Have you tried changing the password you use when protecting the sheet to something more secure?

    not very good suggestions, sorry
I count on Excel for everything

I'm having the same issue! Has anyone found a solution yet? From my experience the versions of excel don't matter - some people with the same version of me will have the drop downs appear, some will not. Some people with previous versions will have drop downs appear, some won't.
