    sheet views by color

I have Sheet 1 that has a bunch of project lists. The status column is either green for done, yellow for in process, or red for not started. These are fill colors in the cell. I want to have three other sheets, Green, Yellow, Red, that I want to show the header column, plus only the rows that have their respective colors in the Status column. Is that possible?

    Thanks.

    Re: sheet views by color

How are the colors applied? Is each one set manually, or do you use conditional formatting?

If they are set manually I think you are going to need macros to do this. It would be faster if you attach a sample file. Under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

    Select column "F"
go to conditional formatting > manage rule > new rule
go to "Format only cell that contain > select specific text & containing > Enter "Done"
    >Click on "Format" > select green color > ok > ok > apply > ok
    Same process for other
    See attach file.

    Re: sheet views by color

As far as I know this is not possible with formulas. Here is a macro solution. You must enable macros for this to work. Each color sheet is automatically updated when you go to the sheet. To make this more generic I have added labels in column A for each color you are using to match the sheet names. I had to unmerge your Legend label to get this to work (we recommend against merging cells; this is one reason).
