Searchable drop down list

Got another problem at hand which the excelforum community may be able to help me with! Want to thank everyone for this platform.

I created a searchable drop down list in a combo box with this method: https://www.extendoffice.com/documen...st-search.html

This method is using countifs and a named range, with a bit of VBA to create the search drop down element.

However, due to the countif formulas (and the other formulas), my spreadsheet becomes very slow as I have approx. 500 data sets to search from.

Could anyone advise how I could get this to work more smoothly? Or if there are any other methods?

That looks absolutely brilliant!

But how would I translate this to my own worksheet? My excel/VBA skills aren't great so I'm having difficulties in understanding what you did.

Would appreciate it if you could explain so!

2. do not rename it
3. adjust a range in Private Sub Worksheet_BeforeDoubleClick

Hi Tim,

Apologies for the slow response.

I'm still having issues translating this onto an excel spreadsheet that already exists. The instructions above only seem fit to create a new spreadsheet from it.
