    Contacting the server for information

I have an excel file that has been "Contacting the server for information" FOREVER. i finally have gotten fed up with it and broke down my very large excel file to one workbook that is causing the issues.

However i can not FIND (code) causing this message. I have deleted ALL macros. but its still happening.

Is there an ADDIN or anything else i can try to SHOW me where the offending code/formula/whatever is coming from???? its honestly going insane!

You look in Data > Connections?

Yes. It shows Nothing. No connections. Keep in mind that when the page logs up it says that its trying to get data from a site.... then it says the file can not be found... i try to break the link.... but it will not do it.

I don't have a clue, sorry. All the posts on that topic seem related to Outlook trying to download pictures.
