    Pivot table password from editing..

    Good morning all,

Just wondering if there's a way to protect a Pivot table from being edited. So basically I'm currently sharing my pivot table on a network. Now someone else has it open and I cannot edit it! It's driving me up the wall. Is there a way to prevent this from happneing. Maybe when they open it it's a copy and I can open the original and edit it. Please help!

    Thank you in Advance!

    Hi thursday140,

You could (use VBA code to) set a password but obviously you would have to give the password to whoever accesses or edits the file, which means you would be "locked out".
If only you edit the file why don't you just set up the other users with "Read Only" access ?
