    Conditional Fill

Hello everyone long time no talk.

I was just wondering if there was anyway to do a conditional fill for a row based on a cells value.

But not have to put in the same condition over and over again for each row

    So say its like this

    if D2 has a "Y" in it turn A2 through E2 Green

This condition is easy for me to set up I am just trying to figure out if there is a way to make it easier than putting it in for the next 300 rows

I'm assuming it would have to probably be a macro but not sure

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Conditional Fill

hi TJ. select the range you want to apply to (say from A2:E300)
go to Home -> Conditional Formatting -> New Rule -> Use a formula to determine which cells to format -> Format values where this formula is true:
    =$D2="Y"

    format the color green.

if you wish to add records to it and still have this conditional formatting, consider converting your range to a Table first. you can do that by selecting A1:E300 and press CTRL + T. the conditional formatting will then always apply to this Table

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.
