Data Validation Error

Hi,

I created an excel sheet using the data validation function to create drop down lists, however I have now decided to increase the range of data for which each list grabs its data from and I am presented with the error:

"The list source must be a delimited list, or a reference to a single row or column"

I am confused as I never encountered this problem before.

I want to change the drop down lists for B3:F3 to cover the range J4:O8.

It is currently set to J4:M8.

If anyone could help me out here it would be greatly appreciated!

I know that I could do it that way and it would take longer. In some cases though I would like to select different options in 2 or 3 categories instead of just the 1.

Any idea why I was able to do it before but not now?

Yeah I really dont know.

All the research Ive done trying to figure it out suggests that I should never have been able to do it.
I was able to do it for all 30 teams though and then adjust it multiple times prior to this.

I think I will have to do what you suggested and create a single column to pull the data from.
