Large Data Base-Need to Pull Some Address Ranges From Data

I have a large database and I need to pull address ranges from the data and put them in new sheet to use to analyze. I have attached a sample of the data base and the address ranges I need to pull.

The results should include Colums A thru F data with the row information within these columns for the addresses pulled

    Hi pick,

This is an Advanced Filter problem. You need to extract the street numbers first. See the attached. Then build an Advanced Filter criteria using GT/LT and Like operators.

See the attached for your answer.

    1. windows 7 pro is a version of windows not MS Office. Could you update your profile? eg. 2016 or 365
    2. you didn't show what you want to exactly achieve

    Hi sandy666,

If you are requiring people to update their profiles to tell which version of Excel, you might also update your profile. What is your correct location and version of Excel?

    @MarvinP
    PC 2k16(64) not4subs = PC (hope you know) 2k16 (2*1000 +16) 64-bit, not for subscribers
    Location? It is like yours

Besides, I do not need any help just OP

    Hey Sandy,

I'm so sorry but I didn't know that "2k16" meant 2016 as in version 2016 of Excel. Is the "not4subs" mean that you didn't buy the 365 subscription? Did you buy a CD and install your version of Excel from it? Does this also mean that you don't have any of the updates to Get&Transform that have come out since 2016?

I know where Earth is but is the "EU" mean European Union? I guess I'm just stupid but I don't know where IXL,BXL,BE are. Sorry but I'm really interested in learning about where all the people on the forum are from.

I frequently double click on a Location a person, which selects it, then right click on the word and select "Ask Cortana" which gives me a map of the place a person is from. I get no hits using your location. I use my "Ask Cortana" like an Advanced Filter for peoples locations, similar to how I used Advanced Filter in this Excel Problem.

Please help me to understand your profile. I need lots of help and frequently.

Sorry if I offended you with this question.

Re: Large Data Base-Need to Pull Some Address Ranges From Data

    @Marv
I don't use Cortana because I don't use IE (Interent Explorer or Edge)
My students use two k sixteen or two k ten very often like me in my IT Dept.
About not4subs - maybe I should say: DesktopProPlus, and yes, I've all updates to my version - the rest what I can see under your link is like bells&whistles and I don't need them.

Location: EU - it could be European Union but also Europe,
about the rest: I tried to see WA and I saw Wallis and Futuna Islands, I don't know where Seattle is sorry
so yours WA is the same like mine BE (country)
the rest is a city (shortcut BXL) and part of the city (shortcut also IXL) but I think it doesn't matter for you

The best profile is like :
    Location: any
    MS Office ver: any
    Don't you think?

Re: Large Data Base-Need to Pull Some Address Ranges From Data

    Hey Sandy,

Thanks , I just edited my profile to be more exact on my location and improved my version to be more exact on my Subscription of 365 Office version.

Thanks for the help. BTW - I still can't find "IXL,BXL,BE". Sorry but I guess I'm stupid! (also I always thought "K" was 1024 not 1000. I guess I'm Old and Stupid.)

    Note: I didn't say that !

    about k
    1 kilobyte = 1024 bytes
    but
    1 kilometer = 1000 meters

base on your profile I will change my if you wish but it will be a little shorter than yours

edit: I don't use the localized version so I think my location does not matter

Re: Large Data Base-Need to Pull Some Address Ranges From Data

    I always thought "K" was 1024 not 1000
Metric prefixes data back to the 18th century. Computers got us in the habit of using k to mean 1024 instead to 1000. In 2010, the IEC decided that those 2^10, 2^20, 2^30, ... prefixes are now kibi, mebi, gibi, ... (http://www.electropedia.org/iev/iev....vref=112-01-27).

It's took me years to talk about Hertz instead of cycles per second, and Kelvins instead of degrees Kelvin, but I think kibi is beyond my ken.
