Project dates in the future and group the output

    Hi,
I have the data in the attached format (please note subject number = country number + site number + sequential number 01, 02, 03 etc)clip.jpg
For instance, Germany country code is 9, so subject #1 at German site #1 will have the following ID: 90101.
Different subjects attended different # of visits thus far.

How do I project visits for the future, grouping them by visit type, month, site, and country? I need the output in the following format:
"in Nov 17 there will be 5 instances of visit 10 at site 101", etc.
To simplify a little bit, let's assume each future visit happens 1 month after the previous one, so that if a given subject had V10 on 15 Oct 17, this means V11 is projected for 15 Nov 17, whereas V12 is projected for 15 Dec 17 etc.
    Thanks.

Re: Project dates in the future and group the output

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.
