How to Match Street Indexes Columns in Yellow Highligted to Streets To Match File

    I have excel 2016 and windows 10

My two databases are as follows:
    1) Street Indexes has a listing of all streets within a city with multiple columns. Those in Yellow Highlight are important to transfer that data into the other database called "Streets To Match"
    2) Streets to Match. Has two columns filled in and 5 columns blank which need to be filled in from #1 above "Street Indexes

Sample attached in one file. See tabs on bottom of file. All values >0 as an "address number" should be "FALSE". So I can clean the file to find out why that is showing as a "0" on the "Streets To Match" file.

Let me know if I was clear enough on my project.

    Thanks

#1 and #2 are pretty clear. But if you want to find a street listed in STREETS TO MATCH, which column do you check in STREET INDEXES? None of the streets are found in either STREET or NAME columns. Some were found in HIGH_XNAME.

You have a list of address numbers on STREETS TO MATCH and they are all >0. What exactly do you want to be FALSE?
So I can clean the file to find out why that is showing as a "0" on the "Streets To Match" file.
To find out why what is showing as a "0"?

Re: How to Match Street Indexes Columns in Yellow Highligted to Streets To Match File

    Hi Jeff

The yellow highlighted in Street Indexes are the only street names to match too. The #2 has the number and street names that are found in the HighX Name ( yellow highlighted).
the "0" or all "0" would be possible errors in the database that were not filled out properly. So these can be avoided or not used in the process.

    Does my answers help?

Re: How to Match Street Indexes Columns in Yellow Highligted to Streets To Match File

For each street name in STREETS TO MATCH, you want to find the same street name in STREET INDEXES, column HIGH_XNAME. Then you want to return the data for the 5 columns shown in STREETS TO MATCH.

But you mention highlighted fields in #1 and I still don't know how they are related to what you want to do.

the "0" or all "0" would be possible errors in the database that were not filled out properly
Do you want "0" as a result if the street is not found, or is there a "0" in your data?

This is done with a combination of INDEX and MATCH. See attached.

Yes, as to the first part of your reply.

The highlighted fields in #1 are the only ones to be used to move the data into the "Streets to Match" info.
ADDRESS STREET KEY MAP ZIP LONG LAT HPD BEATS

As to the "0". I have found that the same street name in the #1 is repeated many times with some of the number fields being all "0"s. But also the street name "will" have numbers associated with it. So if you find a "0", then the formula should have a >0 for each street number/street name. Eventually all streets that "only have "0"'s can be found in my clean up of the data.

    Does this make sense? Thanks
