    Using Excel as flashcard

Hello all - I am attempting to use Excel as kind of a "Flashcard" for my son to help him learn his multiplication tables.

He needs to learn them up to 12.

What I was trying to make work was to have Excel choose the numbers between 1 & 12 randomly. He would then input his answer and if his answer was the correct matching answer, it would flash a quick message and move on. If the wrong answer, it would display a wrong answer and he would need to try it again.

I need a bit of a boost to get this going.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Dave

The problem with choosing numbers randomly is as soon as he inputs an answer, Excel will recalculate the random numbers.

Here is a version with macros that does what you want.

    Interesting.

I created a userform for you to try.

    I am attaching two versions.

Version two runs when you open the workbook, but with excel hidden.

Turn the sound up when using these.

I like your userform a lot. If I may offer a suggestion, use a key_down procedure to trap the ENTER key, so you can skip mouse clicks altogether.

    Hi Lee

I had considered that. But this is for a kid.

My way allows time for changes.

Well, either way, it's pretty cool! Though the key is just an option... the user can still click the button if preferred.

    Ok Lee,

I have improved the code and taken up your suggestion at the same time.

This version tries to reduce repetition in the last ten entries.

Nice! I noticed some repetition, it's a worthwhile improvement.

    Dear mehmetcik,

This is very useful for my kids.
Sorry to interupt, Is is this possible to add option for "Add, Subtract and Division" in this same userform?
