ISNUMBER seeing NA as number in conditional formatting formula

I am using the following formula in conditional formatting:

If(ISNUMBER(M8),IF($I8>M8,1,0),0) I have several rows in the applied range with NA in some of the column cells. In some rows this conditional formatting formula is seeing NA as a number, so the cell is highlighted, in other rows it is working fine.

Outside of the conditional formatting it works fine for those problem cells, i.e., IF(ISNUMBER(M8,"Y","N") returns N.

I'd be tearing my hair out if I had any left.

"Solved" The range over which the rule was being applied had duplicated, overlapping range entered. When I fixed that, the problem went away.

Thanks for sharing the solution CF can create all sorts of dups, if you copy a CF cell to somewhere else
