Dynamic table for chart based on start and end dates

    Hello all,

I am trying to create a table used to calculate weekends for a chart. Right now I just use a range that encompasses an entire year, but that is kind of sloppy, and will need updating as the year progresses. Is there a way to make a date accumulator table such that I can enter the first and last date of the range into corresponding cells, and have a table dynamically list the days within the range, and output Boolean results for weekends?

For instance, in my example, I cant just make A2 = G1, and then A3 = A2+1, since either formula overwrites the other. Also, this won't set a target end of the range. I am open to creative solutions!

    Thanks!

If I understand correctly enter this in A2 and fill down.

Re: Dynamic table for chart based on start and end dates

    Hi FlameRetired, thanks for answering.

It's definitely part of the solution, now I just need to figure out how to set the end date. A cursory Google search tells me that adding and removing table rows will have to be a macro or data form of some sort, but at least I am on the right path now!

    Thank!

Re: Dynamic table for chart based on start and end dates

    Good enough, FlameRetired! Thanks!

What I wanted was a dynamic table, that would grow or shrink based on the date range, but this solution is actually better, with less VBA overhead, and less headaches! The way I pictured it was just fancier, not really more useful, ha!

    Thanks a bunch!
