    Filter for predetermined values

    Hello everybody
I have a table containing rows with initials for employees. I want to filter this into 2 categories, say Developers and Business analysts.
    To illustrate this:
    Table 1:
    KBC
    PVR
    ADF
    MKB
    AAC
    LDR
    etc.....
Say that KBC and AAC are Business analysts and PVR, ADF and LDR are developers. Is it possible to make 2 categories to filter between? Either show all Business analysts or all developers? BTW there is data specific to the initials in column B through I.

    Hope you can help

Use another column for those categories, then you could filter directly on that column.

    Hope this helps.

Please be more specific. If you're thinking of Advanced filtering then it wont give the user the possibility to filter the view between 2 categories?

If your names are in column A, then use column B to record either Analyst or Developer against each name. Then you can filter column B to see each group.

    Is that specific enough?

Column B through I all contain data specific to the initials in Column A, and that is why i need to be able to filter so that it's possible to get an overview for the Business Analysts and for the developers
