How to require Cell Comment when selecting particular values in a drop down list?
Hi,
I'm looking to require a cell comment when I select a certain value on a drop down list. My current values are P, A, T, UTO, NA. I want when I click A, T, or UTO, the add comment box pops up to add a comment to that cell, and if I do not add a comment, it does not allow me to choose that value.
Try this out for size.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
That is the idea. I would like to be able to do it with all of the drop down lists in that worksheet. They will all apply. I would also like it to act as a normal comment would if you just right clicked and inserted comment. I want it to appear when you hover over the cell, not always.
I would also like to be able to delete the comment?
So you want the comment to be required except when you delete it?
